Day One

We take the journey down to our hotel with a comfort stop on the way, before being welcomed with tea and coffee upon our arrival.

Day Two

We spend this morning at leisure in Winchester, visiting one of the grandest cathedrals in England and one of the largest in Europe, magnificent Winchester Cathedral, to learn more about its history and treasures, before exploring the delightful city itself. In the afternoon, we head for rural Hampshire to enjoy a guided tour of the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery, where we discover the Glasshouses, the Botanical Dry Room and the Dakin Still House before enjoying a drink suited to our personal taste profile in the Mill Bar.

Day Three

This morning, we visit the interesting Milestones Museum which takes us back to the old cobbled streets of the past with replica buildings, costumed characters and restored vintage vehicles. Visit the Bombay Sapphire Distillery 1940's sweet shop, have a pint at the Baverstock Arms and bring back memories playing on the old penny arcade games on Milestones' pier. In the afternoon, we visit the Georgian market town of Alresford, the home of Hampshire's historical watercress industry, where we board a Mid Hants Railway vintage train for a 1.5 hour round trip through the beautiful Hampshire countryside, on the Watercress Line.

Day Four

Today, we travel to Salisbury and visit Arundells House, Garden and Art Collection. The former home of Sir Edward Heath, the house is situated within the spectacular setting of the largest and loveliest Cathedral Close in Britain. Covering 80 acres, the beautiful Greens of the close surround magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, which we can explore at leisure (additional charges apply) as well as the city itself.

On our final day we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before beginning our journey home.

Norton Park is one of the finest hotels in Hampshire, set within its own 54 acres of parkland. All rooms are elegant and contemporary in style with some rooms being accessed by a covered walkway. The warm and welcoming restaurant is located on the first floor and there is a stylish bar and lounge. Excellent leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.
