Next, we make our way to Tavistock with free time for lunch and a stroll around the ancient Pannier market. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Buckland Abbey, part house, part museum, crammed with treasures and surrounded by meadows with magnificent views of the Tavy Valley.

Today we enjoy free time in Torquay and Paignton. Spend the full day in either, or split the day half and half. Both are beautiful seaside towns perfect for relaxing by the coast.

We head to the Mayflower Steps in Plymouth this morning, from where we enjoy a one-hour return harbour cruise across the Plymouth Sound, pass Plymouth Hoe and Drake’s Island, heading to the Royal Naval Dockyard. Once back on dry land, we visit the Mayflower Museum. In the afternoon, we enjoy a 40-minute guided tour and tasting at the historic Plymouth Gin Distillery, the oldest working gin distillery in England. At the end of our tour, we enjoy a short, tutored tasting of three gins before we enjoy a G&T at the bar or take a complimentary miniature home with us.

On our final day we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading home, arriving late afternoon.
