With a comfort stop on the journey, we travel to our hotel in Maidenhead.
This morning we visit Oxford with its dreaming spires. We enjoy a two-hour guided walking tour of the city and learn more about its history and most famous landmarks. In the afternoon, we explore the city at leisure. Attractions include Christ Church College (entrance to colleges is subject to availability) where many distinguished people have studied. More recently the colleges have become famous for their connection to the Harry Potter films.B, D
Today we visit Waddesdon Manor, built by Baron de Rothschild in 1874 to house his collection of fine art and provide a hospitable environment for his many friends! The manor house is built in the style of a French Renaissance château and has extensive grounds featuring a Rococo style aviary and formal gardens. We take a 45-minute guided garden tour taking in the highlights of Waddesdon Manor Garden and also enjoy a two-course lunch. There is also the option to have a guided cellar tour exploring the Rothchilds’ wine vaults.B, D
This morning, we head for Henley-on-Thames where we have free time at leisure to explore this famous waterside market town. Attractions include the award-winning River & Rowing Museum which explores the River Thames, the sport of rowing and the town of Henley. In the afternoon, we make our way to the royal town of Windsor, where we have free time to explore. Why not visit Windsor Castle or enjoy a short river cruise?B, D
On our final day we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading home.

The Holiday Inn Maidenhead-Windsor is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Maidenhead with excellent motorway access for touring and visiting Windsor. Each of the comfortable rooms is equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a modern restaurant and large open-plan bar with plenty of seating for groups. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, steam room and spa bath.
