Our new tour makes the most of Hampshire’s long maritime history, with a visit to the fantastic Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and a ferry crossing to the Isle of Wight.

Day one

We travel down to our hotel in time for our evening meal.

Day two

Today, we visit Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Highlights include HMS Victory, Nelson’s famous flagship from the Battle of Trafalgar; and HMS Warrior 1860, the largest and fastest of all Royal Navy ships. This afternoon, we have free time in Portsmouth and the opportunity to experience the dizzy heights of Spinnaker Tower, which stands at 170 metres tall.

Day three

This morning, we visit the historic city of Winchester. In the afternoon, we head to rural Hampshire to enjoy a guided tour of the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery, before enjoying a drink suited to our personal taste profile in the Mill Bar.

Day four

Today, we take a morning ferry from Southampton to the Isle of Wight. We make the most of the lovely island with a circular tour, taking in picturesque villages, spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches. We stop in the scenic village of Godshill and the charming seaside resort of Shanklin, before catching our return ferry to Portsmouth and returning to our hotel.

On our final day we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before beginning our journey home.
